Seminar on Drug Addiction and Cyber Crime Awareness at KSKV Kachchh University

In a concerted effort to address the rising concerns of drug addiction and cyber crime, the Department of Economics at KSKV Kachchh University, in collaboration with the International Police Forum (IPF) USA, Lions Club Bhuj, and Kachchh Police, organized an enlightening seminar. The event took place at KSKV Kachchh University, drawing participants from various walks of life, including students, faculty members, law enforcement officials, and concerned citizens.

Objective of the Seminar

The primary objective of the seminar was to raise awareness about the perils of drug addiction and the growing menace of cyber crime. In today’s digital age, cyber threats have become increasingly sophisticated, while drug addiction continues to plague societies worldwide. The seminar aimed to equip attendees with knowledge and tools to combat these issues effectively.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Kalpana Satija

The seminar was graced by the presence of Dr. Kalpana Satija, who represented the International Police Forum. Dr. Satija has recently been appointed as the Ambassador for the World Drugs Awareness Campaign by the IPF, underscoring her commitment to this critical cause. Her extensive experience and profound insights made her keynote address the highlight of the seminar.

Highlights of the Seminar

  1. Understanding Drug Addiction:
    • Dr. Satija shed light on the psychological, social, and economic impact of drug addiction.
    • She emphasized the importance of early detection and intervention.
    • The session included real-life case studies, illustrating the devastating effects of substance abuse on individuals and families.

Mr. Ashish Raval and Mr. Haresh Dayatar members of IPF also were present. Mr. Ashish Raval also spoke about cyber crime and drug awareness. At the end of the seminar Mr. Haresh Dayatar gave a vote of thanks from the IPF side.
